A week of PAIN!

Well, it's been a week since I started my Japanese class.
I'm a little bit behind. There are vocab words that I do not know. I need to study hardcore for the next 328471 days.
This better be worth it.

Anywho, I'm still disliking my two jobs and I've been searching around for more.

Last night I found an ad in the employer ad for the local TV News Station to work in the editing department.
Needless to say I have an application filled out and ready to bring to them.

Woo.

I've got another bank type of company that found my resume and is wanting to bring me in for an interview. But, it's involving sales. Again. And I really want to get out of sales. I don't feel comfortable doing it. Calling people up at home and basically begging them to let me come out there to sell them stuff. And with the bank thing, I think it involves selling insurance and stuff. And I just don't think I could deal with that. Having to tell people that they're not eligible for insurance or something. I couldn't do that. Especially after watching the Michael Moore documentary SiCKo (which I recommend).

Otherwise, that's all I know for now. I've been studying Japanese really really really hard and I think my brain is about to explode!

I've been having weird sleeping patterns lately. I'd end up falling asleep at like 2:45 after a long night of studying にほんご. And then I'll wake up at about 7:15ish. And then I'll wake up again at maybe 9:45...15 minutes before my alarm goes off. Whats up with that?
And I've actually been having my awesome random dreams lately. From me saving the world to being a cop and forgetting my laptop so I run home and search for the speeders license number using my own computer.
I usually don't remember my dreams, but maybe the past week I've been having them every night. IT'S SO WEIRD. NOTHING MAKES SENSE ANYMORE.
Okay, I'm going to bed. Maybe when I wake up I'll write up about my dreams just for you. Heck, if I get enough dreams I can make a "Tony Rocks The Dreamworld" blog. :P
Haha, or not.

Good night. Gonna go try and memorize some vocab words.

PeeEss- I'm up to about $30 for my ads. KEEP CLICKING. TELL EVERYBODY YOU KNOW. AND THEN HAVE THEM TELL EVERYONE THEY KNOW. ETC ETC ETC!

Japanese

Wow, it's been a few days, hasn't it.

Well, I was denied entry into The University of Wisconsin because I didn't have enough transferable credits. I only had 15 and they need 30 something.
BUT, I'm still able to get in as a special student and take up to 11 credits. I only have interest in taking one class, though. That class is Beginners Japanese 102.
They didn't have Japanese 101 available this semester, so I had to take a placement test to see if I could get into 102.
So on Wednesday (I think), I took that crazy 200 question test. And oh my god it was like reading a Japanese book. I had no idea what most of it said. I was able to read some of it. So I guessed on most of it and ended up with a 63/200. Not bad. Woo. But that test was geared for all of the Japanese classes in general and I placed into 102. Just the class I wanted.
So I start that TOMORROW already. Woo, time flies. Hope there's some cute girls in class.
I've been really considering minoring in Japanese. Just because I can.

I cannot WAIT to go back to Japan this summer. I've met a couple new people from Japan online. One is a very nice lady. She's 31 I believe and we talk using the MSN voice chat. And we talk about music and economics and politics and culture and all that fun stuff. She's really nice. And she has an almost 18 year old daughter who likes to act.

Aanywho. I don't really like my new job selling knives. I just don't feel very comfortable going into people's houses and trying to sell them things. So I'm thinking of getting another temporary factory job until I can move away. They have solid hours and benefits.
My other job involves selling Kirby Vacuums. Let me tell you, they suck really really good. But I decided not to sell them, I decided to be on the telemarketing team and setting up appointments for everyone. I'd work about 16 hours a week for $100. PLUS for every appointment I set up and the person buys a Kirby, I get $50 for that sale. Not too bad, but I still wanna go back to temporary factory work.

Heather came up this weekend and we watched movies. Cause movies rule.
After she left, I went out to see Cloverfield. I must say it was a pretty kick butt movie. It's made to look like you're seeing it from the main characters point of view. They filmed it using handicams. It was really well put together and the special effects were fantastic.
And my favorite line out of the movie, "I don't think I could comprehend how scary it'd be if a flaming homeless guy came out of the darkness."
Ahhah, awesome.

I got a new bedset. It's so nice and comfy and eternally awesome.

Besides that, it's COLD. It's like -4 degrees. And the Packers lost. OHNOES.

Okay, I'm going to bed. Goodnight.

Sweet, I placed 5th out of 119 on my TV Commercial.

Awesome!

EDIT: My TV Commercial I did while I was in Miami. The one that I placed in the Top 25? The Europass one?

I Made My First Sale!

Hey everyone, I made my first sale today with my knife selling stuff.
And it was my second customer.
And he bought the $1000 Homemaker Set.
And since I get 10%, that's $100 for me.
AND, I was the first person in my group of 15ish to sell a Homemaker Set. So the manager is giving me $50.
And I had 3 other appointments aside from the sale. So that's $45. ($15 each appointment).
So, in the last 6 hours, I've made $195. Score. ;)
So this is me:

Yeah. Ladies...
Watch out

Okay, anyway, here's how my commission stuff works.
When I sell a total of:
$0-$1000 - I'm a rookie and get 10%
$1000-$3000 - I'm a Sales Rep and get 15% (Here I have the option of dropping the $15 base pay if I'm comfortable enough, otherwise I'd stay at 10%)
$3000-$6000 - I'm an Advanced Sales Rep. I get 20%
$6000-$10,000 - I become an advisor. That's 25%
$10,000 - $20,000 - Senior Advisor. 30%
$20,000 - $25,000 - Field Sales Leader, 40%.
$25,000 - $30,000 - Senior Field Sales Leader at 45%
$30,000+ - Field Sales Manager at 50% commission.
So if I put in the effort, I can move up pretty fast. Heck, One more order and I'm at $1000. So a promotion in almost a day. Sweet. :P

I also submitted my application for UW-Eau Claire today. So I should hear back early next week. I'm pretty confident that I got in. So that should be fun.
My plan is to take the theater classes and also minor in Japanese. Just because studying Japanese on my own is a royal pain in the butt and a class would be loads easier/better. And I can have it on paper.
Like someone says, "Yeah, I minored in Spanish. Yeah, I'm like a pro..."
"Oh yeah? Well I minored in JAPANESE! One of the hardest languages EVAR!"
"Okay, you win, here's $50."
"Score"

...I dance a lot. Especially at lesbian dance clubs. ;)
(Incase you didn't get that last joke, please read my blog post on my Rocking Miami blog found here.)

Okay, here's the situation regarding that last blog post below this one.
Father and I have worked everything out and we're cool.

I guess the main reason he was upset was that I didn't tell him I was fired right away. And I already had two written warnings on my record. One of them for not staying on task and following procedure. I got that taken care of though.
The other one for going to Subway. It's a long, boring story about a write up I got from an A-hole supervisor.

So, anyway, long story short, Dad agreed to help me out by paying for my TTM debt, and dental. But I have to pay that back....eventually.
And only $500 of the $1300 loan he gave me.
He gave me the loan because, well firstly because he thought I'd be able to pay it back right away with my tuition reimbursement. And secondly I needed the help in paying for my trip to Miami and he helped. (thanks!)

And in the past he has giving me lots of money. He gave me the Ford Focus and paid my insurance on it for a year. And then he gave me $5k to put down on my Mazda in return for the Focus so he could give to Heat. (Wow, I've never called her Heat before).
Then he hooked me up on two $500 deductibles for my car after a vicious raccoon and a Nasty door attacked it. And I get commission from selling his stuff on ebay for him. And he loaned me pile of $ for my trip to Japan which was very nice.

So yeah, he's not so bad. Just has bad days once in a while. Ya know.
He's been in worse positions than me right now and doesn't want me to get into those same types of positions.

Thanks dad for everything, I 'preciate it.
Thanks Theresa for being my Hero. Seriously, run for President. Your cabinet could consist of...OAK! Ahahahhaaha too funny.
Thanks mom for the advice.
Thanks Debbie for the housing offer. Don't think I'll be needing it, though. :P
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for being awesome grandparents.
Thanks Amy for your support.
Thanks Tony for being so awesome and rocking at life.
Thanks Tom Hanks for being an awesome actor to inspire me!
Thanks Lynn S for being a rocking acting coach (you don't even read this)
Thanks Riley for being my potential future agent and fixing up my resume. (You don't read this either)
Thanks Jason Long for...

Tony's Kinda Rocking at Life

As many of you know I just recently lost my job because I accidentally broke a window. Oh well, they don't need me, I don't need them. Life moves on.

Today I started orientation for a new job selling knives. Next Tuesday I start orientation for another job selling appliances. They both sound promising and I'm hoping it'll help me get back on my feet financially. But that won't be for another few months, see, I owe a lot of money to different people.

Let's add up the totals, shall we?

$899.31 has to go to my former employer who will forever remain nameless. Last July I got a Tuition Reimbursement from them for having fantastic grades. But the catch is, I have to remain an employee there for 12 months otherwise I have to pay every penny back. Well, I was fired, and now they want their money back. They took my entire final paycheck to go towards paying it back. Awesome, huh?

$508.40 needs to go to Oral Surgery Associates because that's the amount that wasn't covered by my health insurance to get my wisdom teeth out.

$400 needs to go to my school by the end of January to pay off last semester. I'm already a couple months behind on that one.

$120 Goes to Rosio because we left two nights earlier and I got refunded the two nights and we're splitting the cost of it and she already paid me for the whole week.

$1300 goes to my loving father who has really supported me through my hard times and has completely understood the difficult time I'm having financially. He wanted his money by Friday. He wanted my to take it out of my 3M stock. I refused. I'd pay him back when I got the money another way.
Now he's telling me that I probably wasn't gonna pay him back in the first place because I'm some sort of crook and to forget about the debt. Oh and I one minor detail, I have 30 days to move out. THANKS CHRIS!

Adding all that up, within the next few months, I have to pay $3227.71.
Now, on top of that we'll throw on a $288 car payment, $400 school payments starting in April. I'd say $100 a month for gas. Maybe $400-$500 in rent.

Should be a fun few months. RIGHT?

Taxes are coming up soon, too. I don't expect to be getting much back. I did claim 9 on a couple of my paychecks. PLUS I've got the stock taxes I'll have to pay.

And don't even tell me "Oh, it'll be alright. You'll get back on your feet soon enough!"
Yes, I know that, you don't have to tell me that.

So click the ads and help me gain a couple cents.
I'm gonna go stand on my corner now and make a few extra bucks.

Night.

Transfer schools

Lately I've been thinking about transferring over to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and taking acting classes there. I didn't know they had them there.
And then I was also thinking of minoring in Japanese because they have it there.

I wonder if it's too late to do it this semester. I'll call em up on Monday and find out. If I can, then I'll transfer my FAFSA stuff to UWEC and probably be able to get a little more money.

We'll see.
