Sort of a lot. I suppose I'll start with the big news:
I bought a house. :)
Well, I'm in the process of buying a house. The applications are with the underwriters at the moment. Who knows when we'll find out.
And by we, I mean of course myself and my cousin Justin's girlfriend, Chelsi. Her and I are getting the loan together.
We offered $105k for it and the sellers accepted it. Woo!
Now, since we're both first time home-buyers, we'll qualify for an $8000 tax grant. Awesome.
We'll also qualify for another $8000 local grant from the area we're in. It's a grant for people who buy houses in the 55106 Zip code for repair and upkeep. We plan on using that to buy new windows and doors for the house.
We plan on sand blasting the wood floor and shining it up. It's pretty scratched up and ugly looking. There's only two rooms in the house that has carpet: living room and the bedroom on the main floor. And they're two different styles of carpet, too. Really ugly. So we'll take those up and make everything wood floored.
Most of the repair and upkeep we'll do is pretty much cosmetic. Theresa did the inspection last Friday and she said everything was up to code.
The tentative closing date is October 26th. So hopefully everything will work out and we'll be living in there by the end of October. Should be awesome.

So that's the house. :)
Back in the home front, I'm still working at the AmericInn Motel. I've been doing a lot of night shifts lately. I'll be transferring over to the AmericInn in White Bear Lake when I move, but only temporarily. Until I find something else that pays better. I'm thinking of applying at 3M. They're only 5-10 minutes from the house, so that'd be perfect.
In the next couple weeks, I'll be testing for my JuJitsu Green Belt. Exciting!
