Well, that was a pretty tough week.
We all know what happened, so I'm not even going to talk about it.
Anyway, so plans have changed for me. I can't go to LA just yet as I can't afford it.
So what I'm doing is going to get a new, better paying job (hopefully with benefits), to save up big time. And my goal is to be out to LA by the end of the year.
I suggest everyone go see The Dark Knight. I've seen it 3 times now and it's still great! Heath Ledgers performance in it as The Joker is totally phenomenal.
Otherwise, there hasn't been too much else happening with me. So I've got nothing else to write.

The Tale of the Boy with the Chipped Tooth.
Time for a little back story...
Once upon a time during the cold winter season of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, there lived a 5th grader. Now, this 5th grade was no ordinary 5th grader; he was special. Because his mommy said so.
One day after his favorite time of the day, school time, he was getting onto the big yellow school bus. He'd been on the bus hundreds of times up to this point, so he had nothing unexpected to fear. Or so he thought...
As the young, innocent, and impressionable 5th grader took the first mighty step onto the stairs of the big yellow bus, all was well. He took a second step; all was well. He took a third step; all was not well.
Suddenly, his life flashed before his eyes (who was that guy?), as he went toward the ground faster than a cannonball being dropped on someones foot. Luckily, something caught his fall to the ground. As the young 5th grader was hurdling toward the ground, his mouth caught him on the bus drivers seat belt (that was not belted).
A sharp and searing pain shot through his face like a hand being held over the stove for stealing cookies that one time.
He opened his eyes and looked down. Blood was pouring out of the boys mouth. He found a white rock on the ground, at least it looked like a rock until he noticed there was a new space in his teeth.
"Uh-oh" he thought to himself.
"Owie" he also thought to himself.
The bus driver sat in his chair astonished at what had happened in the last 30 seconds.
"You okay?" He grunted.
"Yeah, I'm fine, doesn't hurt at all," he whimpered as he held back tears.
The bus driver took this as an okay and left the school parking lot.
All the other kids on the bus were just staring at the boy. He heard various "Oh my gosh, did you see that?" and "Hey are you okay?"
He ignored them and found his seat.
Several hours went by before the young, rosy cheeked 5th grader found himself sitting in a chair at the dentist's office. The boys mother was standing at his side, grasping his hand as the dentist came over with a tray of scary looking dentistry tools.
"What are those, mommy?" The boy asked his mom who was on the verge of tears. She was scared.
"These are instruments that will help make your tooth all better," the dentist chimed in.
"But...aren't instruments used for music?" the young boy said bashfully.
The dentist let out a slight chuckle, "Yes, my dear boy, but these are different kinds of instruments. Now stop asking questions and lets get this over with."
"Okay..."
Time among other things had passed.
"Mom, I can't stop licking it. It feels so weird," the 5th grader with the newly implanted tooth explained to his concerned and annoyed mother.
"Well, would you rather have a hole there?" She replied with a sarcastic tone.
"No, ma'am."
They walked through the slippery parking lot to his mom's car and went home.
Fast forward to July 10, 2008. The young, precious little 5th grader has grown into a man with a very promising and bright future.
"Alright, like this? Is my hand in the right spot?" he asked his sensei.
"Yep, that's right, now go," replied the sensei after a critical look.
He pulled his opponent down and kicked his leg out from under him, causing him to fall to the ground with a thud.
"Perfect," his sensei said proudly.
The young man who's now in his early 20s, was in the middle of a martial arts class called JuJitsu. He was still a beginner at this point in time with only a white belt to show for it. But he was gradually learning.
"You alright?" he asked his classmate who seemed to be left dazed and confused on the two-inch thick mat he was just slammed onto.
"Yeah, that was a good one!" he exclaimed back. "Now it's my turn!"
"Alright here we go," our young man said as he pulled back his fist.
He shot his fist toward his classmate's face who instantly blocked the punch with a sweeping motion of his hands. He smacked his hand in the side of the boy's neck, grabbed the back of his neck, pushed down and kicked his leg from underneath him- sending him rolling.
The very moment the young man hit the ground, his teeth suddenly snapped together. At that instant, he felt something resting on his tongue.
He knew exactly what it was.
He spit the foreign object into his hand and looked in horror. Memories of a 5th grade boy chipping his front tooth were going through his head.
"Uh-oh, you okay?" His sensei immediately asked.
"Yeah yeah yeah yeah, it's fine. It's a fake," he quickly responded. "I had chipped it in 4th or 5th grade and this was only a temporary filling."
"Alright then, well, do you wanna call it a night?" His sensei asked, concerned.
"Yeah, practicing any more has pretty much lost it's merit," the worried young man replied.
The classmates and their sensei bowed to each other and went to the changing area.
The young man got changed immediately and headed for his car, swearing under his breath: "Why now? Why at this time? Oh well, better now than then."
'Then' was referring to when the 20 year old will be living in the giant city of Los Angeles. He wanted to become an actor, but not with a hole in his tooth.
On his way home, he drove past his dentists office. Of course they'd be closed the next day. No other dentists were open, so he had to wait.
He waited until the next day when other dentists were open and he could get an appointment with one. He lucked out as the first place he called had a cancellation at one o'clock that very afternoon.
He worried at the cost as he had no dental insurance. He asked the secretary who had answered the phone if she could estimate what it would cost. She told the nervous young man that it depends on the type of filling that needed to be done.
"Okay, thank you," he said to her as he hung up his phone.
He waited, waited, and waited some more. Time seemed to have slowed to a crawl. He was bored out of his mind until he came up with a great idea. An idea to show off his creative writing skills. He decided he'd make a new blog entry explaining what had happened in the third person point of view.
One o'clock was inching closer and closer. By 12:40, he decided to leave and go to the dentist to find out his fate.
He reached the dentist's office, went inside, and filled out some paperwork. Time was going by slowly. The anticipation of what the dentist might say was killing him.
15 minutes later, the young man walked out of the dentist with a nice, shiny new smile and $227 poorer. It's the smile that really matters.
The end.

I'm burned!
Well what a fantastic weekend that was!
Went to cousin Erik's place to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary. That's a lot of decades, years, weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
I was official camera guy. So was Steve.
I managed to take a little over 200 pictures. Many of them the same thing (Gotta make sure nobody is making a funny face).
All my cousins wanted me to do some comedy on the microphone. So I went to the bathroom with the mic turned on.
There was some delicious food there, too. I had about 4 shredded pork sandwiches. Mmm, delicous.
So that was on Sunday. After that I decided to stay an extra night there. So we stayed up and watched The Bourne Ultimatum. That's a sweet flick!
Then I was playing on Eric's laptop and saw that George Carlin died. I was sad. But as he said himself, "I'm an old fart" (replace fart with another four letter word starting with F that rhymes with Chuck).
He's my favorite comedian. A bloody genius and made ya think.
Then I went searching for a new laptop and I've found a nice HP Pavilion that I plan to get with the money I get from selling my current computer.
So today I decided to go to the city pool with a friend from work. What fun. They have a high-dive diving board that I went off of a few times. It's crazy!
Then I sat out in the sun and baked. And even though I had sunscreen on, I still got sunburned. So I just got done applying some Aloe Vera to all the places I could reach. Owie. :P Oh well, I'd say by Friday or Saturday it'll be better.
I also found out today that we got the apartment! They ran our credit report today and apparently it was good enough, so we got the apartment!
We're planning to move in July 18. So that should be lovely.
Now we just need to find jobs out there.
Anyway, that's all the news from me.
I've gotta work tomorrow.
See ya!

Six Flags and Hollywood
What a fun last couple of days!
Yesterday, Brady and I went to Six Flags. That was pretty fun. He wanted to go on all the roller coasters. They were INSANE! Luckily I didn't spew. That'd be gross for both me and everyone below me.
So many loops. There was one where your kind of standing. It's nuts.
Then there's another one called Tatsu (Japanese for 'Dragon') where you'd sit down in the seat and it would turn 90 degrees so you're facing down. It was scary!

SCARY!

While we were waiting in line for Tatsu, there was a cute japanese girl who was also in line. She noticed my "Looking for Japanese Girlfriend" shirt and laughed at it. Didn't get her name, tho. :P

The drivers out here are pretty nuts. I think the average speed on the highway is 75-80mph.

It's crazy!, but that's only when there's no traffic. When there's traffic, it's pretty much a dead stop. Well, depending on what time it is. It was kind of stop and go for us.

And that was pretty much the end of the day yesterday.
This morning (Thursday) we woke up early and headed for Studio City for my meeting with the agency.
I think that went okay. It could've gone better, but I was so nervous! So I don't know what they thought. Riley said he'd be talking with me soon. So hopefully it's alright. :P
After that we continued to look around for apartments around the area. I think we may have found one. It's $995 a month so it's not bad at all. But still waiting on other apartments. We toured a really sweet apartment that was GORGEOUS! Just for kicks. It was about $1600 a month and had a full furnished kitchen. It was gorgeous but expensive. Sorry, no pics, though.
We found a parking lot with a cool speed limit:

After we went around looking for apartments, we drove around Hollywood. That was sweet. We drove past some premiere of something at the Kodak Theater. Was so cool...

And aparently Jane Fonda and Chevy Chase were there, too. Don't remember what it was for, though.
Then we drove past Warner Brothers Studios

And saw an ABC building

And then we drove around the Hollywood sign. We got really close to it. It was so cool!

I even saw a Helicopter really far away

Here are some other shots up near the top

So, that's pretty much all the pictures I took today. Hope you like em.
I'm going to bed. Gotta fly home tomorrow!
Bye!

Yes Internet :)
Okay, I lied, I guess we do have internet. There was a network cable that had fallen behind the table and we didn't see it. So...sweet.
So today was a pretty fantastic day. Slept in until about 10. That was a good sleep. Someone had knocked on the door at like 5 in the morning. I opened the door and the guy was a few doors down and says "Sorry, wrong door!"
So I took a shower, there wasn't a mirror in the bathroom (they're in the process of repainting the place).
So we headed to Denny's and had some pancakes. Mmm. Good.
Afterwards, we headed out to "northern" LA in search for an apartment. We looked around at 3 of them. The first one we went to, which was recommended by Cousin Suzie, is so far my favorite. It's about $1300 a month, including utilities except electricity. The second one was a great place! But part of the requirement of renting is we need jobs with a combined income that is like 3x the price of rent, and must have good credit. And that was the same as the third place we looked at. So we're kinda leaning toward the first one.
So after touring the places, we went over to Suzies and she treated us to a steak dinner. Fantastic! It was delicious! She has a pretty cool place. And a sexy car!
We stayed there for a few hours and then headed out. On our way back to the hotel, we drove around Sunset Boulevard. There are some NICE places out that way. And I think we drove past an area where they were filming something. There was a trailer full of clothes that was open. :P
So after driving around, we got back to the hotel and the bathroom had the mirror put up. Sweet.
And now I'm writing this.
I only got a couple pictures with my cellphone will driving down the 405. Didn't really get my camera out too much.

The last few days my tongue has been hurting and I don't know why. So it kinda hurts to talk and do my impressions or sing. :(
And I've got a cancur sore in my mouth from that blasted Orange juice. GAH!
Alright, that's about all for today.
Not sure what we're gonna be doing tomorrow. Thinking about hitting up a beach. Can't wait!
